The Smith & Wesson M&P 9 Shield Plus 9mm sports all the great features from the original shield pistol with the following enhancements. A standard magazine coming in with 10-rounds, and an extended magazine gives the pistol 13 + 1 rounds of 9mm ammo. This allows the Shield Plus to be the highest capacity micro-compact, and also allows it to be a viable option for states with 10-round magazine capacity limits. All M&P Shield® Plus models feature a flat face trigger that gives users a consistent trigger finger placement allowing for more accurate and repeatable shooting. Also based off consumer feedback around the M2.0™ grip texture, Smith & Wesson has implemented a more balanced texture. The stippling allows the user to manage recoil, keep a firm grip, and not irritate the skin while carrying concealed.
